My goal is to use my blog to drop fun tidbits of information about future books to build excitement. Today, I’m revealing a big setting detail for the sequel to Death in Travelers Rest. The next murder mystery is happening on a cruise ship!

For those of you who really enjoyed the small town vibe and local flavor of Greenville County, don’t worry. I already have the basic plot of both books three and four figured out, and they will both take place in Greenville County, SC. But this one will take place on a Caribbean cruise, and anyone who has ever been on a cruise will get a kick out of nods to cruise life.

While my wife and I have been on a number of cruises, we felt it best to go on another one to ensure the greatest authenticity in my writing. Just kidding. We were going anyway, along with the kids, for spring break, but I am going to try to interview some crew members, including the SSO (ship security officer), and see how things work behind the scenes.
